No, it doesn’t. Water is made up of 2 hydrogen molecules and 1 oxygen atom. Our body (stomach and lungs) is not equipped with machinery that can separate oxygen from hydrogen.
There are some water bottles that mention ”extra oxygen”. However its a waste of money to buy them as they are fooling you. Oxygen is available free in the air. Moreover, if water gave us oxygen, then nobody died while drowning in the ocean/sea.
How to raise the oxygen levels?
There are many ways to increase oxygen level and here are some
- Regular recommended exercise
- Open your windows
- Plantation at home
- Healthy diet
- Maintain an Alkaline Body pH
- Maintain a healthy lifestyle
- Avoid fire burning
Regular exercise
Regular exercise is associated with your fitness. It maintains your body shape and prevents many diseases. During exercise, the breathing rate increases, lungs absorb more oxygen.
Open your windows
When it’s raining, all the dust particles settle down. Open your windows so that fresh air can come inside your home. If you live in an area where the air isn’t clean, then use air filtration to maintain air quality.
Plantation at home
Grow those plants that need less care e.g money plant or Aloe vera plants. They release oxygen in your home. They can filter out the air at home and release plenty of oxygen.
Healthy diet
Recommended exercise and a proper diet can do wonders on your physical health. Healthy food and drinks have antioxidants, killing many radicals that can prevent many diseases. Moreover, consume iron-rich food. They increase the blood in your body.
Maintain an Alkaline Body pH
Your body’s oxygen levels and PH have a proportional relation. When the PH drops, the affinity of oxygen towards Hameglobin also decreases. More oxygen is released when the body becomes more alkaline. Alkaline tissues hold oxygen 20x more than the acidic tissue.
Maintain healthy lifestyle
- Exercise
- Avoid smoking
- Take preventive measures to avoid breathing issues
- Eat and drink good and healthy
- Avoid allergens
- Stay in shape
Avoid fire burning
If there is someone at your place having breathing issue then stop lightening up candles or firecrackers. They can trigger breathing issues. When you make something in the kitchen, open the windows so that fresh oxygen can come in and Carbon dioxide can go out.
What should be my oxygen level?
For healthy people with controlled asthma, the oxygen level (measured by oximeter) is around 95-100%. However its okay to have oxygen level 90-95% due to a few reasons including exertion, higher altitudes, or temperature extremes.
In the case of people suffering from COPD or other lung issues. The oxygen level should be around 88-92%. Below 88% is dangerous for the organs.
