In case of healthy people with controlled asthma, it’s usual for the oxygen saturation to drop in the range of 90-95% due to the following
- Low oxygen concentration in your vicinity
- Temperature extremes
- Higher altitude
- Exercise
When such conditions are reversed, then the oxygen saturation level in the blood gets back to normal, i.e 95-100%.
Oxygen level below than 95%
If the oxygen level drops below 95%, without any reason then the body goes into the hypoxia stage. However, in the case of COPD and people with lung issues, it’s normal to have an oxygen saturation level in the range of 88-92%.
Oxygen level below 88%
Oxygen level below 88% compromises your organ health. The more oxygen level drops, the more organs shut down. In extreme cases, the organ’s health won’t be reversed. Take certain precautions and visit the doctor to prevent this.
